 Saturday July 31 - $25 (includes taxes but not online fees) The Trews Saturday July 31, 2010 the headliner is The Trews with four albums in seven years, two of them gold; 10 Top-10 singles, two of them No.1 and one gold; multiple awards, for best single, video and live group; and close to 800 live shows under its belt, including support slots for the Rolling Stones, Robert Plant, Guns N’ Roses, Nickelback and KISS, this Canadian rock band never rests! They began their career in1997 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia with the existing four members: Colin MacDonald vocalist, John- Angus MacDonald guitarist, Sean Dalton drummer, and Jack Syperek bassist. Specific nominations include Best AAA / Alternative Songs for “Sing Your Heart Out” at the U.S. Independent Music Awards in 2010. Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold sees Chaisson as lead singer, guitar, fiddle and keys, along with Tian Wigmore on guitar and vocals; Brien McCarthy on bass and Nat Lamoureux Drums and Vocal. With three solo albums under Tim’s belt, and recent release of Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold’s independent musical gem Broken Hearted Beat, Chaisson has more than 19 industry awards and/or nominations and currently has no less than five P.E.I. Music Awards nominations for Songwriter of the Year, Group of the Year, Recording of the Year, Pop Recording of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, and an East Coast Music Award nomination for Best Pop Recording.
Concert grounds: The series will be held on the grounds of the Canada Games complex at Credit Union Place in the City of Summerside. On concert nights gates open at 7 pm; with the opening act on stage at 8:00; followed by the headliner at 9:00. *Concerts will be held rain or shine* The grounds will be complete with food and beverage services (a 19 and older tent), merchandise, washroom facilities and ample parking. The concerts are open to all ages and audience members are encouraged to bring outdoor chairs or blankets to sit on. As well there will be benches and bleachers available.
